Review: HanseMerkur SERVICEAPP with new features

Please note that after updating from the RechnungsApp, you will need to re-register in order to access your documents and use the app's features. This is due to the updated security mechanisms in the app.

The ServiceApp is available to all policyholders of HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung AG, as well as customers with a Tier-OP insurance and a Tier-Krankenversicherung from HanseMerkur Allgemeine AG. The app will gradually be opened up to other insurance areas.

Use the app to quickly and easily submit documents related to your contracts, such as doctor or veterinarian invoices, prescriptions, medical records, and other relevant documents online.

Discover our various personalized insurance services, including updating contact and bank details, requesting certificates, granting authorizations, and accessing various health services depending on your insurance coverage.

Features

Document Submission

Submit all your contract-related documents conveniently using various methods (photo function, barcode scanning, or PDF upload). Additionally, you have the option to collect receipts in the ServiceApp and submit them at a later time when, for example, you are waiting for a reimbursement or a missing receipt.

Digital Invoice Reception

Your doctor's or dentist's invoices can be received digitally in the Postbox of your ServiceApp. You will receive almost all correspondence from us regarding your contract encrypted in your digital Postbox, where you can sort and filter them and also print and forward them if needed.

Personalized Insurance Services

These services are displayed or hidden based on your insurance coverage and are pre-filled with all known data from HanseMerkur:

  • Update contact details (e.g. name, address, phone, email)
  • Update bank details
  • Deposit powers of attorney
  • Request addendum to insurance policy
  • Request tax certificate
  • Request clinic card
  • Contact through the app
  • Schedule callback appointments
  • Health services

Products

You can access information about all HanseMerkur products directly from the app's start menu. For many products, there is also the option to directly apply online.

Synchronization

You can use the app on multiple devices simultaneously. All documents received in your Postbox and all receipts submitted through the app will be synchronized and displayed on all registered devices.

Security

The highest standards of security are ensured as your health data is sensitive and requires comprehensive protection. Therefore, all documents are securely encrypted and stored in the app.

The registration process has been optimized according to the latest data protection regulations and requires a one-time registration with email address, password, insurance number, and PIN.

Requirements

To use the ServiceApp, you need an active contract in the area of health insurance or pet health insurance or pet-OP insurance. On your iPhone or iPad, you must have at least iOS 14 installed. We guarantee support for troubleshooting from iOS 15 onwards.
